Solé Spanish Grille

Main Dining Area
The sister restaurant to Miro at Stonecrest is Solé Spanish Grille in Dilworth on East Boulevard. I liked Miro. I didn’t love it but I did like it. I expected more of the same from Solé.
A friend proposed heading over there to check it out late one week day evening. When we entered there were a few tables occupied outside and absolutely no one inside other than staff. The inside is quite nice although a bit dark which unfortunately shows it the poor quality of the photos I took. The staff was reasonably prompt and courteous but obviously they had the time on their hands to ensure attentiveness.
I was pleased to see that the menu wasn’t the same as Miro. Yes, it is similar but not identical. I ended up ordering the Halibut which does happen to be on the Miro menu as well but I’d not had it before. I was very impressed with it. Not the absolute best fish I’ve had but quite good. For an appetizer we had ordered the Fried Plantain which was similar to just about anywhere else I’ve had Fried Plantain which is to say it was quite yummy. People rave about the Tres Leches cake here. While I’m not a huge fan of that particular dessert I did sample it and it was very good.
Solé is a very good restaurant although I consider it a hair pricey for the quality. It’s a reasonably good caliber restaurant and not far off the mark. It’s definitely a place that won’t let you down and if the night I visited is any indication, you shouldn’t have any trouble being seated in this quiet little Spanish Grille.
