Sometimes good old fashioned greasy-spoon food is the only thing that will satiate your craving. The mood struck while in Rock Hill and fortunately the Little Cafe was there to feed the need.

When you walk into the Little Cafe I have to admit that it doesn’t have that warm and homey southern charm that you might expect from a traditional southern diner. The building looks very new and has a rather spartan and industrial feel to it. Everyone is friendly so this isn’t a comment on the people but just the atmosphere. There’s also these weird little frisbee looking things along the walls. Not sure what that’s about but they all have the restaurant logo on them.

I have a fondness for omlettes, especially the ones that are closer to the Waffle House style than the frilly ones and this seemed like exactly the kind of place that would have one. I ordered up just the way I like it along with a side of hashbrowns. The food came out in a flash and was hot and tasty. It really hit the spot. Service was good as well. My sweet tea stayed topped off. Not only do they offer omlettes along with the typical burgers, hot dogs, fries, etc. but they also offer fried Twinkies. I’d never had one but had heard of the mythical beast from time to time so I was eager to get a taste. I can report that it is indeed a tasty treat.

Would I come back again? You bet! But I’d definitely have to be in the mood for some greasy cheesy goodness. If that sounds like what you have a hankering for and you’re in the Rock Hill area I recommend you pop in and give it a taste.Little Cafe on UrbanspoonBookmark and Share
