Fleming’s Steakhouse

Main Dining Area
The interior of this place is very sharp. It’s quite dimly lit which means the pictures don’t look too great but makes for a romantic setting if you’re looking for that. Everyone is very professional and despite not being particularly dressed up I didn’t feel out of place. This is quite the upscale establishment but casual attire is perfectly acceptable.
We started off with a few appetizers that were all phenomenal – crab cakes, lobster tempura and calamari. I could have dined on just the appetizers. I’d like to say I liked one more than the others but they were all amazing. I skipped the salad and went straight on to the main course which was the Barbecue Scottish Salmon. Not sure what makes it Scottish but it was excellent. Perfectly prepared and the barbecue was a nice accent but not overwhelming.
About the only thing I was disappointed with but wasn’t surprised by was that they don’t have sweetened ice tea. A lot of chains that show up in town eventually cave-in and begin offering it. Being a staple drink in the south they really should consider making the effort. Aside from that minor quibble and the dessert mix-up this place is pretty flawless, as it should be in this price range. If you’re looking for a high-end steak house and want something different than the usual suspects, this is the ticket.
